Good question. It is the valves that do it. The tricuspid and bicuspid valves sit between each atrium and ventricle, and the semilunar valves sit at the exits.

Why it matters

Under Uganda's Competency-Based Curriculum, students are expected to research, apply knowledge, solve problems, and demonstrate what they understand — not simply reproduce notes. But teachers are doing this across large classes with limited time, textbooks, and learning resources.
When learning support does not scale, students who need more explanation or practice are often left to search, copy, or revise alone. SIMU is designed to give each student a starting point for guided learning.

SIMU uses curriculum-aligned learning materials to support its answers rather than relying only on general internet knowledge. When a reliable source is unavailable, it should say so rather than guess.

Students can explore a question step by step instead of copying the first answer they find online.

Where source material is available, SIMU points students back to the underlying learning resource so they can read and learn more.
